Things to do on the Isle of Skye

Skye is now a “must go” to destination and has had huge coverage with Danny MacAskill’s ‘The Ridge’ which shows off some of the island’s breathtaking scenery.

With the dramatic Cuillin Mountains nestled in the centre of the island, the discovery of dinosaur footprints at Staffin beach in the north end of the island, and the spectacular peninsula of Neist Point out on the west coast, any visit to the island will not disappoint.

The famous Three Chimneys Restaurant is only a 10 minute drive from Brae Cottage and the very popular Old School Restaurant is only a 10 minute walk from the cottage.  Nearby there is Edinbane Inn, Michael Smith’s Lochbay Restaurant, Stein Inn and The Old Inn in Carbost, very close to the Talisker Distillery.
